Antique rugs: design
The chinese rugs are most carefully drawn objects, books, pencils, jars, censers and scroll stands. In the rug, both the scrolls and flowers in the corner, and central medallion illustrate the style, the only trace of the fret being in the corners.
There are two floral borders, one of which is composed of tripods, flowers, and stands, very unusual and significant.
The inner border is dotted with signs of "shou." A cloud band outlines the central medallion, and rocks are shown in the design conventionally drawn.
